These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all vouchers issued by or on behalf of Clay Café Illovo (a trading branch under the Clay Café group), located at 204 Oxford Road, Illovo, Johannesburg, South Africa. By redeeming or attempting to redeem a voucher, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Voucher Redemption

1.1. Vouchers are only redeemable at Clay Café Illovo and may not be used at any other Clay Café branch unless expressly stated otherwise.
1.2. A voucher must be presented in physical or electronic form at the time of booking or payment to be valid.
1.3. Vouchers may only be redeemed for goods and services available at Clay Café Illovo and are not valid for third-party offerings.

2. Non-Transferability & Use

2.1. Vouchers are non-transferable, non-refundable, and may only be redeemed by the individual or party to whom the voucher was issued.
2.2. No resale, barter, or promotional use of the voucher is permitted without prior written consent.
2.3. The voucher cannot be exchanged for cash, credit, or used to purchase other vouchers.

3. Partial Redemptions & Change

3.1. If the full value of the voucher is not used in one transaction, the balance will remain available until the expiry date, but no cash change will be given.
3.2. Where the transaction exceeds the voucher value, the difference must be paid by the voucher holder at the time of redemption.

4. Validity Period

4.1. Each voucher will have a clearly indicated issue date and expiry date. Vouchers must be used before the expiry date.
4.2. Expired vouchers will not be honoured or extended under any circumstance, and all unused value shall be forfeited.

5. Loss, Theft, or Misuse

5.1. Clay Café Illovo is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or deleted vouchers and will not replace or refund them.
5.2. Vouchers should be treated as cash.

6. Booking & Availability

6.1. Redemption of a voucher is subject to availability. Pre-booking is strongly recommended.
6.2. Clay Café Illovo reserves the right to decline a booking request made using a voucher where operational constraints apply (e.g., group bookings, full capacity, private functions).

7. Exclusions

7.1. Vouchers are not valid in conjunction with any other promotions, discounts, coupons, or special events unless explicitly stated.
7.2. Vouchers may not be used to purchase alcohol, giftware, or bulk group experiences unless specifically permitted.

8. Right to Amend

8.1. Clay Café Illovo reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
8.2. The latest version of the Terms will always be available at www.claycafeillovo.co.za/voucher-terms

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa and are subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (Act No. 68 of 2008).
